About Essenwood House
Essenwood House is a stylish, Edwardian manor house that has recently been tastefully renovated to preserve the old lady’s historical charm and to bring her into the 21st century. The house is set in formal gardens and overlooks Durban city center and ocean. The night time skyline is breathtaking.
The entire property has uncapped, unshaped fibre WIFI so our guests can access their work, favourite shows or connect with family and friends from their bedroom or poolside.
At Essenwood House, we have different guest rooms and units to meet everyone’s needs. We have single rooms for professionals staying with us midweek or self catering apartments for families and groups of friends. Please check out our room. information for further details.
All rooms have 300 thread count linen, tea and coffee making facilities and SMART TVs with Netflix and Showmax
Breakfast is served daily between 6am and 10am. You can choose to dine on the lawn or have your breakfast delivered to your room.
A shuttle service to and from the airport can be arranged by our staff should you require it, We are also happy to assist with organising tours and day trips. Please speak to one of our friendly reservation agents for more information.

Queen Suite
A Queen Suite room is a modern, compact suite with a queen sized bed, desk and fridge with tea and coffee making facilities. The suite has a sofa and a 43 inch Smart TV. There is an en-suite shower room and a patio table outside.
Ocean View King Suite
A large modern suite with a king sized 4 poster bed with amazing views.With a desk & fridge with tea & coffee making facilities. There is a 40 inch Smart TV and a large en-suite bathroom. The unit has a large veranda with seating and a spectacular view of the pool and Durban’s city skyline and ocean.
Pool View King Suite
A large modern suite with a king sized 4 poster bed with amazing views. The suite has a desk and fridge with tea and coffee making facilities. There is a 40 inch Smart TV and a large en-suite bathroom. The unit has a large patio with seating and a spectacular view of the pool.
Sea View Apartment
A modern, fully equipped one bedroom apartment with a courtyard or a sea view. The unit has a full kitchen with dishwasher. It has a sleeper couch and a Smart TV with Netflix. There is a separate bedroom with a queen bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower. Tea/coffee making facilities.

Essenwood House is a hotel that provides rooms, self catering apartments and event services to its guests. Transaction currency is ZAR and the country of domicile is South Africa.
Refund Policy
We offer two rates, a non refundable rate and a flexible rate. the non refundable rate is non refundable but we are able to change the dates subject to the customer paying any price difference. For the flexible rate, the customer recieves a full refund if the booking is cancelled more than seven days before the arrival date.
Privacy Policy
All customer data will be stored on our systems for no more than 5 years. Marketing material and special offers will only be sent to customers who opt in for such services. We will not share your personsl infomation with any third parties without prior consent.
